Kids Looking for New Herds

We are currently getting ready for our 2026 breeding season here on the farm. Bucks are going in with their girls in July 2026. We have a total of 4 bucks that will be used on a total of 24 does. All offspring will be able to be registered with the MGR.

We currently do not have any KIDS for sale. However, this is subject to change at any point. You can click the Available Kids link above to see the page that the KIDS will be listed on when they arrive and as they become available.

Sale Policy

Deposits:

Deposits are required to hold any animals and are placed towards the final purchase price of the animal. A non-refundable deposit is required to place an animal as sold status. The deposit must be received within 7 days of agreement of purchase. During this time, the animal(s) will be listed as "pending" until the deposit is received. If the deposit is not received within 7 days, the animal will be re-listed as "available". Deposits are only refunded if  Johnson A&B Farm Fainters is unable to sell an animal due to illness or death.

Deposits must be submitted in check, cash, Venmo, or PayPal. We will notify a buyer once the deposit has been received. The notice will also include the balance remaining of the animal(s). Balances must be paid in full or in cash at time of pick up or the goat(s) will not leave the farm.
Here at Johnson A&B Farm Fainters, we reserve the right to stop a sale at any point if we deem the sale to be unfit.  We will not sell a goat singlely by its self unless proof is provided of other goats at the property. Goats are a herd animal and do not do well by themselves, they need fellow goats.

Waiting List:

Here at Johnson A&B Farm Fainters we reserve the right to retain kids prior to offering kids to those on our waiting list. The waiting list is first come, first serve. Please contact us by phone or e-mail to be placed on the list. The first person has 48 hours to decide if they would like to purchase. If no response is received or the kid(s) are not what the first person is looking for, the next person on the list will be offered the available kid(s).

Disbudding:

All horned kids born at Johnson A&B Farm Fainters will be disbudded automatically. Disbudding is done at no additional cost. If the buyer does not want a kid disbudded, the kid must be placed on hold with deposit received in the first 2 weeks of desired kid's life. Kids are typically disbudded between 10-14 days of age. Disbudding kids does not guarantee that scurs will not form as they mature. We will do our best to prevent scurs from happening, but there is no guarantee.

Banding:

Wethers will have their banding completed prior to you picking up your kid. Bucklings are banded typically between 9-12 weeks of age.  Banding can be done at no additional cost. If the buyer does wants a kid banded, a deposit of the FULL purchase price is required before the band will be placed. Deposits are required in full because once an animal is banded it can not be undone.

Registering/Transferring Ownership:

The main purpose of registration papers is to track breeding bloodlines. Johnson A&B Farm Fainters is a proud member of the Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR). All bucklings/doelings of breeding quality will be sent home with registration application papers through MGR. The buyer is responsible registering the kid into their name in addition for the costs associated with this. Kids purchased from Johnson A&B Farm Fainters will be required to carry the Johnson A&B Farm Fainters name on their papers if the buyer decides to register.
Pet quality does will not be registered and will not be sold with registration papers. Wether registration papers will be sent with buyer if desired, and registration/related fees are at buyer's expense. If purchasing an adult goat the appropriate transfer of ownership paperwork will be sent with the goat(s).

Transportation/Pickup:

Kids will be ready to leave around 10-12 weeks of age. Pickup dates & times will be set up. Final payments of kid(s) must be in CASH, PAYPAL, OR VENMO, or the kid will remain at Johnson A&B Farm Fainters and another pickup time will be scheduled. If the buyer does not show up to the agreed upon pickup time (with out prior communication as to why the scheduled time no longer works), an additional fee of $2.00/day will be added to the remaining balance. If the buyer does not contact Johnson A&B Farm Fainters about missing their pick up time, we will attempt to contact buyer in regards to the missed appointment. If buyer does not respond to our contact attempts within 1 week of the initial set up appointment to pick up your kid(s), your deposit is forfeited and the kid(s) will be re-listed for sale.

All goats will be identified with permanent identification tag prior to pick up. This will be done at no expense to the buyer. Out of state sales are permitted. It is the buyer's responsibility to know the health/travel requirements for animals in their state/across states of travel. Johnson A&B Farm Fainters will provide a health certificate & necessary testing for travel completed by our veterinarian at the buyer's expense. This expense will be discussed in the purchase process. We suggest that the buyer be the one to transport the kid(s).

***Please do not bring dogs or any other pets with you when you pick up your kid. Johnson A&B Farm Fainters is not responsible if your animal would be injured while here. ALSO you will be held responsible for any damages/losses that your uninvited pet would cause***
